Responsibilities:
As a TPM on the team, you will assist in managing all facets of your own program by defining projects, obtaining resources, collaborating with engineers to develop realistic roadmaps, persuading outside teams to expand your program, keeping track of progress, tracking findings, and clearly communicating outcomes and roadblocks. To explain project status, argue for required resources, and escalate results, you’ll use effective communication skills (verbal and written). You will work independently and lead intricate technical and business conversations up to the Director level. You will collaborate with groups across Amazon to strategically enhance wireless security, respond to inquiries from the outside world, and apply security best practices. When necessary, you’ll support security projects and escalate properly.
About the group
The SPEAR Wireless Security team of Amazon performs wireless vulnerability analyses of its infrastructure, products, and services. We are a part of a bigger assessment team that locates weaknesses in several security areas. We are a multinational security team whose members are dispersed throughout numerous nations. We are constantly on the lookout for previously unidentified security issues because the protection of our customers’ data is something we take very seriously.
Requirements:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years’ experience in technical product or program management
- Experience working directly with technical teams for at least one year
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- An undergraduate degree in management
- 5+ years of experience managing projects across all project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Three or more years of involvement with engineering teams
- 1+ years of expertise in wireless security
- Current qualification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Current holders of the CompTIA Network+ or CCNP certifications
