The full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of American small business clients is the responsibility of this role. This include keeping track of transactions in the accounting system, writing diary entries, examining financial reports, and recording operations on workpapers and reconciliations.

You must be able to manage different, conflicting priorities resulting from client needs and requests while upholding the highest standards of quality and customer service if you want to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out standard accounting tasks, including bank, credit card, and payroll account reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, and other tasks linked to accounting, as needed by clients.
• Creating financial statements with accompanying reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, including 1099 and other miscellaneous annual filings. filings when required.
• Inform the manager of any open issues or anomalies and follow up to make sure they are properly fixed.
• Create ad hoc reports as needed for clients and/or management; support any unique accounting tasks.
• Assist consumers using self-service with accounting inquiries.
• Perform a quarterly study of self-service customer accounting, looking for problems and making recommendations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-time bookkeeping experience
• A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a closely related discipline (preferred)
• Priority given to having experience working with many clients.
• Knowledge with QuickBooks and similar software applications
• Effective oral and written communication and organizational abilities
• Capability to manage numerous projects and deadlines independently
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as knowledge of Quickbooks Online and/or Xero.
• Attention to detail-focused analysis skills
• The capacity to work autonomously in an environment where you can exercise self-direction and independence.
