Job Description

Job Type: Web Designer from home
Location: California work from home
Company: B12

Being a web designer at B12 means that you are directly responsible for the company’s success! After our AI has created drafts of our customers’ websites, our web designers at B12 use our design suite to create the earliest versions of their websites. You’ll concentrate on what you love most—design—while collaborating directly with our customer success team and other design specialists! The web designer position with B12 is the ideal fit for you if you like working as a freelancer, creating websites, and being in a collaborative and open work atmosphere!

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and comprehend client briefs. Small and medium-sized companies, such as coffee shops and real estate investment enterprises, make up our existing clientele.
  • With our Design Suite, which is mostly a WYSIWYG website editor with capability for custom HTML5/CSS overrides, you can create a basic website for a new customer in about 4 hours, given their content and preferences and an automatically generated website.
  • Fulfill enhancement requests, from minor tweaks to more intricate alterations or design upgrades, for clients’ current websites.
  • Since our platform is expanding quickly, there will be possibilities nearby for qualified applicants who want to advance with us to serve as mentors and reviewers.

Requirements:

  • Either you work remotely or as a web designer in NYC.
  • Your written English is really good.
  • You are eager to deliver customer-focused websites and have three to five years of expertise in web design.
  • You’ve been using HTML and CSS for one to two years.
  • You can be reached for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • You feel at ease transforming unstructured client demands and content into responsive, pixel-perfect websites.
  • You are eager to challenge any design choices that don’t sit well with you as well as to hear input from an art director or customer success manager.
  • You’ve designed websites for desktop and mobile platforms.
  • You are content to dedicate a few hours at a time to working on a deliverable for one customer before moving on to another.
  • Learning about our Design Suite excites you.
  • You are interested in and eager to support our mission of assisting people in engaging in meaningful work.
  • The number of years of prior experience required for this position is negotiable. We give great weight to interest and talent.
  • When they view this list and realize they don’t match every criterion, some candidates might become disappointed. In any case, do apply; chances are you are even more amazing than you realize.
  • B12 is a secure environment for people. If you identify as a woman, a person of color or other underrepresented minority, or a member of the LGBTQIA community, we especially encourage you to apply.
  • Get compensated for your knowledge; we appreciate the abilities you offer as a designer.
  • Develop yourself in our community by connecting with other designers using Slack, which we frequently use, and receiving constructive criticism.
  • Sculpt the future of work: we greatly appreciate your feedback, and by working together, we intend to create tools that will transform the way we operate.
