Position Description

The VP of Group Product Strategy and Implementation for Lincoln Financial Group is responsible for providing strategic leadership within the Group Product division. They will ensure the team gathers competitive and market intelligence, develops segment strategy, and manages product implementation. This role is responsible for fostering key relationships with external stakeholders and driving Lincoln’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

-Engage with industry contacts to gain knowledge on group and worksite insurance segments and activity, carrier development, and trends to inform and shape business strategies
– Gathers comprehensive intelligence on product issues and trends concerning both Lincoln and the group and worksite industry
– Provides thought leadership and advises executive leaders on approaches to leverage competitive/market intelligence for product strategy development
-Develops strategic recommendations and action plans that advance Lincoln’s business goals
-Enforces effective prioritization of product implementation in partnership with key stakeholders
-Manages cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment between implementation and business strategy
-Ensures team maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legislative environment and implements new developments when appropriate
-Leads, establishes, and implements performance goals and objectives

Qualifications

-4-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s
-12+ years of insurance industry experience in product implementation, segment strategy, and/or market intelligence related to the responsibilities of this role
-5+ years of management experience
-Strong knowledge of Group Protection products
