We are looking for a Ventures Lead to create the strategy for Chorus One 30M Ventures Fund, study, discover, and source investment opportunities in promising early-stage blockchain applications and protocols, in order to support our unprecedented growth in 2022.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and carry out Chorus One’s Ventures strategy in accordance with the corporate mission and strategic objectives.
• In order to ensure the success of the Ventures team, lead and manage the group while offering direction, mentoring, and support.
• Find the most promising investment opportunities by researching and identifying Proof-of-Stake infrastructure, interoperability/MEV protocol designs, macro trends, and emerging narratives.
• Attend conferences and other events as a representative of Chorus One to find new investment possibilities and form connections that can help Chorus Ventures grow more quickly.
• Create and maintain a network of influential businesspeople, including entrepreneurs, financiers, and thought leaders, to identify and evaluate new venture opportunities.
• lead the evaluation of protocol and the market, risk assessment, and financial analysis for new investments.
• Portfolio firms are followed up on and reported on, with advice and assistance provided to help them reach their objectives.
• In order to enhance decision-making, services, and external communications, find and evaluate pertinent data and metrics.
• Create and preserve connections with current portfolio firms, collaborating closely with their teams to promote their expansion and success.

Requirements:

• An independent learner who is crypto-native, has a passion for the field, and who is particularly interested in keeping up with emerging trends and technology.
• Possesses the capacity to switch between a broad top-down perspective and intricate technical details. They also have a solid grasp of emerging narratives, interoperability/MEV protocol designs, and Proof-of-Stake infrastructure.
• Possesses excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to create and maintain business connections both inside and outside the organization.
• Possesses expertise in structured research and data-driven analysis, and the capacity to reliably and effectively synthesize key financial and technical data and information.
• Can work freely and with initiative, and they have a strong feeling of responsibility for their work.
• Possesses a personal interest in cryptocurrencies, is involved in the community, and has a specialty in staking.
• The ideal candidate should be willing to travel 30–40% of the time when necessary, despite the fact that the organization is entirely remote.
• Prior venture capital/private equity investing experience of at least three years is necessary. Total of five to ten years of relevant professional experience, such as with a venture capital firm, a startup sponsored by venture capital, a top consulting firm, or an investment bank
