Position Description

Kelly is looking for a temporary Insurance Rater for the location Des Moines, Iowa. The selected candidate will work for a top property and casualty insurance provider with more than 110 years of service. The candidate will be responsible for the collection, review, and entry of rating information into the system to provide quotes to the underwriting team for new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements.

Responsibilities

– Collect, review, and enter rating information into the system to provide quotes to the underwriting team for new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements
– Contact agents to obtain missing information
– Review and process endorsements including updating VIN numbers, increasing deductibles, and liabilities limits
– Complete rating trainings and learning courses
– Perform support duties including ordering reports and obtaining information for new or existing business

Qualifications

– High school diploma or GED equivalent required
– One year of office administrative support
– General knowledge of insurance industry terminology preferred
– 1-3 years of experience in an insurance rating role preferred
– Experienced with MS Office Suite is required, Guidewire Experience is preferred
– Strong organizational skills along with effective communication and customer service skills
