Position Description
2U is a digital education platform that collaborates with more than 230 universities, corporate partners, and colleges worldwide to develop world-class digital education. As a Technical Support Specialist, your role entails delivering proactive, comprehensive, and quality customer service to 2U students and educators to ensure a positive and enhanced user experience in line with the company’s expected white glove service level.
Responsibilities
– Identify, analyze, problem-solve, and troubleshoot technical issues via email, phone, and chat from faculty and enrolled students of 2U.
– Quickly and efficiently resolve technical issues and address the root cause of customer inquiries.
– Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve more complex technical issues.
– Provide support with training and onboarding of new hires and members of your team as required.
– Master all supported software by 2U and use it to provide technical assistance to students and faculty for an enhanced user experience.
Qualifications
– A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
– 1-3 years of experience in customer support, technical support, or other support-related fields.
– Familiarity with chat, email, and phone software used for technical assistance.
– Excellent knowledge of current video conferencing software and Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems.
– Organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
– Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
– Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evening hours to support faculty and students at peak times as assigned.
– Ability to identify service improvement opportunities and automation proposals to improve service quality.
