Position Description

We are seeking a competent Technical Customer Support Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. At Contentful, our Customer Support Engineers provide essential assistance to the developers who utilize our APIs and build digital experiences on our platform. You’ll work with top international businesses and will assist them in resolving any issues regarding Contentful and identify how we can help customers leverage the significant potential of our tools to create new, and innovative applications.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

– Collaborate with global teams to develop internal and external processes for ticket-based assistance for customer-related issues.
– Troubleshoot and help resolve problems related to Contentful.
– Assist our customers with huge-scaling and getting started on new integrations.
– Keep clients updated on their issues and escalate technical issues to our Engineering team if necessary.
– Act as a Contentful ambassador, building strong relationships with clients and ensuring they get maximum value from the Contentful platform.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need:

– A minimum of 2 years of previous technical customer support experience, with direct contribution in customer-facing processes and tools.
– A good understanding of web applications, APIs, and API-based SaaS integrations.
– Software development experience/troubleshooting experience in one or more of our supported languages.
– Confidence with common UNIX-like command-line tools and the ability to read server logs and process them to aggregate/analyze data.
– The ability to work both collaboratively and independently in an Agile environment.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
– Experience working with global teams, open to cultural and thought diversity.
– A customer-centered, empathetic, and cross-team collaboration mindset.
