Responsibilities:

  • Oversees over 140 business applications’ daily administration, support, maintenance, database management, proactive monitoring, implementation of development software, system performance and capacity, software compatibility and upgrades, vendor management, and run book documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT functional areas and vendors to troubleshoot, debug, communicate, document, resolve, and prevent system failures and disruptions. Performs tier 3 escalation for all software applications hosted both internally and externally. 24×7
  • Gives the design team and Service Desk feedback and documentation as needed to alter standards and processes.
  • Creates, updates, and stages testing environments in coordination with testing and quality assurance.
  • Respects the software compatibility matrix, the software release schedule, and change management
  • Communicates with all organizational levels, offers assistance, and monitors any planned or unplanned system disruptions
  • Monitors and ensures vendor alignment with the strategic direction of the company, oversees vendor management, vendor relations, and escalates issues with vendors.
  • The chosen candidate will be in charge of making sure that all account and related information is kept secure and confidential and of making sure that his or her work complies with all relevant laws and rules, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.

  • Four years of relevant technical experience, or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or a related subject
  • Strong understanding of the departments, goods, and systems inside the credit union as well as the financial services sector
  • Extensive technical knowledge of software programs
  • A working knowledge of and practical expertise with the financial application Episys, SQL, Microsoft operating systems and tools, AIX, and PowerOn programming

Prior work experience and education are preferred qualifications.

  • Knowledge of the principles of databases, programming, networking, hardware, interfaces, and middleware
  • Having knowledge of Netapp SAN, IBM hardware, Java, HTML,.NET, web services, VMWare, Cisco networking, and Citrix

Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications

  • Skilled at using Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, either through employment or schooling combined with actual use of the programs
  • The capacity to multitask, plan, arrange, and manage with ease
  • The capacity to operate well under pressure, balance several objectives, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to show initiative with a focus on user pleasure, continual improvement, and standard compliance
