Job Type: Support Engineering Manager from home

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of a professional support staff, including performance evaluation and skill development
    Shift scheduling, operational management, and key performance indicator (KPI) accountability
  • Makes certain that every client matter receives a professional response within the SLA.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customer escalations and make sure that they are handled properly.
  • Responsibility for client contentment
  • Addition to the knowledge base for assistance
  • The team’s procedures and support service delivery are always being improved.
  • Employ, nurture, and educate a support staff in accordance with business needs
  • Drive initiatives for growth and transformation in collaboration with the leadership team.

Requirements:

Needed expertise and background

  • Substantial technical CLI experience with Linux (Support, Development, Implementation)
  • Experience in team management and leadership, ideally
  • Self-assurance under duress and a track record of excellent customer attention
  • Ideally bilingual, with English serving as the primary language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Extra abilities you could perhaps bring

  • Familiarity with or understanding of virtualization, OpenStack, public clouds, and Linux desktop
  • A track record of successfully participating in Open Source projects
  • Experience in software development
  • Working knowledge of support organizations
  • Practical knowledge of Canonical’s goods
