The Sage Group’s client is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist for a full-time contract position. This role primarily involves monitoring various social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and Twitter, with a focus on engaging audiences, identifying platform trends, and tracking competitive activity. The Community Engagement Specialist will work closely with the Social Strategist to translate community engagement efforts into valuable insights that inform content planning.

Responsibilities:

• Strong copywriting skills with proficiency in grammar, sentence structure, and spelling. Ability to generate fresh, engaging, and on-brand copy for social responses across different channels.
• In-depth understanding of social-first language and native user behaviors across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and Twitter.
• Collaborative and coachable, with the capability to work cross-functionally with teams in Creative, Communications/PR, and Legal.
• Process-oriented, demonstrating keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in various stages simultaneously.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience working with brand-owned social media channels.
• Proficiency in social media listening and publishing tools, preferably including BrandWatch, Sprout Social, Later, and AgoraPulse.
• Previous customer service experience, particularly in providing written customer support and responses across social media platforms.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required (estimated once per month) to support live social media moderation during trend spikes and campaign periods.
