We are seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer in Test to join our Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization at PepsiCo. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of software development activities, contributing to long-term initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Software engineering is the cornerstone of our scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo’s value chain, and we are looking for a leader to help us deliver high-quality software solutions, oversee business operations, and drive value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers to develop and support digital products and services aligned with S&T core priorities.
  • Foster partnerships with User Experience, Product Management, IT, Data & Analytics, Emerging Tech, Innovation, and Process Engineering teams to deliver the Digital Products portfolio.
  • Develop software development and testing strategies based on industry standards, create roadmaps, and ensure timely implementation aligned with business requirements.
  • Effectively manage and mentor a high-performance, distributed team of engineers.
  • Engage with company executives to shape the narrative around software engineering.
  • Enhance Digital Products and Services (DPS) capabilities through customer-centric, data-driven, and AI-powered digital solutions.
  • Manage and address impediments, risks, issues, and changes related to engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with key business partners to recommend solutions that align with strategic needs.
  • Oversee all activities of internal and external test resources assigned to your programs, collaborating with peers to ensure efficient coverage and minimize duplication.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 10+ years of relevant software development and/or testing experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading end-to-end testing for distributed services and web applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python for automation scripts.
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks, tools, and services like Postman API, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Cucumber, and LoadRunner.
  • Strong ability to create test plans and strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, and cloud-specific PaaS and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience in testing and consuming large-scale web services.
  • Expertise in black box and grey box testing methodologies, along with standard QA and development tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,300 – $177,850 based on a full-time schedule.
  • Compensation is influenced by location, confirmed job-related skills, and experience.
  • Performance-based bonus, with a target payout of 15% of annual salary paid annually.
