We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with advanced expertise in designing, coding, testing, documenting, and implementing application systems in alignment with customer requirements, organizational standards, and methodologies. This role is pivotal in driving technical direction and feature development within our large-scale cloud systems.

Job Description: As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the technical direction and feature roadmap of our large-scale cloud systems.
  • Serving as a technical lead, guiding development teams, including internal and external members.
  • Determining operational feasibility and driving detailed feature requirements.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by exploring alternatives and new technologies.
  • Preparing and installing solutions based on system specifications and standards.
  • Evaluating code for validity, proper structure, industry standards, and compatibility.
  • Mentoring Software Engineers to foster skill and knowledge development.
  • Staying updated with the latest development tools and techniques.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, concepts, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one required programming language.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to articulate ideas, concepts, and options effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management and mentoring abilities.
  • Influential leadership without formal authority.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent formal training (Required)
  • Advanced-level experience and specialized knowledge in software development and methodologies (Required)

Additional Details:

  • This role is offered as a remote position with occasional travel required for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Limited group of states or localities ineligible for remote work: Alaska, Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
