You will be able to take charge of projects and work with large-scale data processing systems as an employee of Platform. We are looking for a driven engineer to join our team that works on AppLovin’s key products, which handle 6PB of data per day and reach 1B consumers. Our job is to scale a platform that generates trillions of unique events each day that are consumed trillions of times across our geographically dispersed data centers. Working with many databases and using Java, Scala, Spark, and Airflow are all part of the technology stack.

Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and manage extensive distributed systems
• Work together with diverse engineering teams to address a variety of technological obstacles.
• Collaborate closely with our product team to impact and add to our products’ and technologies’ roadmap.
• Motivate and sway teammates

Requirements:

• Five years or more of relevant work experience
• possess a degree in computer science or a similar discipline at the bachelor’s or master’s level.
• Java proficiency
• practical knowledge of big data platforms, including HDFS, Spark, and SparkSQL
• practical knowledge of broker systems (e.g., Kakfa, RabbitMQ)
• extensive familiarity with SQL databases (Vertica, MySQL, Clickhouse) and NoSQL databases (Aerospike, Zookeeper)
• practical knowledge of cloud computing (GCP, AWS, etc.)
• the capacity to accept all responsibility for a feature or project
• possess a drive to tackle big, challenging issues. You delve deeper to uncover underlying issues so that you may develop long-term fixes for the ecosystem as a whole.
