Position Description

Twitch, the world’s biggest live streaming service, is hiring a Software Engineer with strong experience in iOS development. As a part of the Community Engagement team, the iOS Engineer will lead mobile projects that help Twitch Creators grow and connect with their communities. The iOS Engineer will need to have expertise in Swift and the iOS development ecosystem along with experience in native iOS development working on large scale applications. The candidate will be reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager for Community Engagement Mobile.

Responsibilities

– Lead the software design, implementation, and delivery of high impact native mobile experiences for Twitch’s iOS mobile app.
– Work across both technical and business-focused teams to deliver value to our Creators and viewers.
– Identify and enforce engineering best practices and team processes
– Mentor less experienced mobile engineers

Qualifications

– A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field would be preferred.
– A minimum of 3 years of native iOS development experience with proficiency in Swift and the iOS development ecosystem.
– Experience in communicating technical problems to both technical and business audiences.
– Familiarity or experience working with GraphQL would be a bonus.
– Experience with community-focused features like chat, content moderation, and streaming video would be a plus.
