Position Description

We are currently seeking a Social Content Creator to join our growing social media team at Crain Communications. The ideal candidate will have a distinct authorship, be a natural storyteller, and capable of generating ideas on the fly. The content you create needs to be compelling with eye-catching graphics, exciting captions, and in-line with brand standards. You also need to be familiar with native social media optimization techniques, near-sighted social analytics, and social media campaign management.

Responsibilities

– Develop unique and creative content for social media platforms
– Collaborate with graphic designers and photographers to create engaging visuals
– Coordinate with account management to ensure proper brand representation
– Use social media apps for editing, such as Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro or similar
– Conduct social media analytics to track the success of campaigns and adjust strategies when necessary
– Manage social media content campaigns from start to finish
– Have a finger on the pulse of social trends to stay ahead of the curve on what’s new and trending

Qualifications

– Proven success in social media content creation, management, and analytics
– Experience as a social media personality, blogger, or vlogger is a plus
– Basic photography/ (mobile) videography skills
– Condensed-form writing and eye-catching captioning skills in the moment
– Understanding of social media algorithms as they relate to content and strategy
– Project management experience
– Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
– Knowledge of social media apps such as Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro or similar
– Entrepreneurial personality – you love to lead or work with others and aren’t afraid to experiment with new content forms
– Interest in travel for work (position requires occasional travel)
