Oyster HR is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing to lead a fully-distributed, remote team. This is a senior-level manager position designed for individuals who have ten or more years of experience in marketing leadership roles. As the SVP of Marketing, you will report to the CRO and play a crucial role in driving the growth and diversification of revenue channels for the company. Your main responsibilities will include brand strategy and management, revenue diversification, marketing strategy and planning, demand generation and lead acquisition, and team leadership and development.
As a successful candidate, you will have a proven track record in marketing leadership roles, with a focus on revenue diversification and brand management. You will possess strong strategic thinking skills with demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies. In addition, you will have deep understanding of brand management, revenue diversification, digital marketing, and demand generation. You must also have experience managing remote teams, excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills, and an ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
– Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that reflects Oyster’s values, mission, and unique selling proposition.
– Identify and explore new revenue channels and business opportunities to drive revenue growth and reduce dependence on any single channel.
– Conduct market research and analysis to identify target markets, customer needs, and competitive landscape for each revenue channel.
– Own lead generation activities to support revenue growth across multiple channels.
– Provide strong leadership to the marketing team and develop marketing talent with expertise in revenue diversification and brand management.
Qualifications
– Proven track record of at least 10 years in marketing leadership roles, with a focus on revenue diversification and brand management.
– Strong strategic thinking and demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
– Deep understanding of brand management, revenue diversification, digital marketing, and demand generation.
– Experience managing a remote or fully distributed team.
– Data-driven mindset with proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting.
– Project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
– Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload in an ambiguous environment.
– Excellent coach, mentor, and thought leader.
– Proven record of recruiting and enabling top talent.
– Ability to build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels.
