This role reports to an Engineering Leader and is located at our Bellevue, WA headquarters. This job can be done remotely from any US state where Smartsheet is an authorized employer.

Responsibilities:

• Create simply scalable Java-based backend components to handle the rapid expansion of your clientele.
• Create software applications and microservices with AWS technology.
• Write logical, effective Java code based on the requirements of the product and its operational viability.
• Create and manage pipeline implementations for CI/CD.
• Take part at every stage of the development process, from conception to implementation.
• Teach junior engineers best practices and code quality
• Cooperate closely with SRE, product managers, and other software developers

Requirements:

You Own:

• 7+ years of expertise developing software using languages like Java or Golang; designing RESTful APIs; creating scalable back-end services
• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform microservices; familiarity with automating CI/CD for highly scalable systems
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline, comparable work experience, or comparable academic background
• Qualified to work continuously in the US legally
