Take the lead in improving operational risk at Amazon.com, where we have a history of setting the bar high for cutting-edge products and services. A senior risk analyst with relevant experience is needed by Amazon to handle bodily injury claims for its international transportation program.

Responsibilities:

A successful applicant will support and report to a Senior Risk Manager within the Risk Management Team. They should also be enthusiastic about driving change, appreciate working hard, and enjoy being constantly challenged. Claims management, process enhancement, and TPA supervision will be your main priorities. The following duties are possible, but are not restricted to:

  • Exercise supervision over the handling of physical harm claims that are both litigated and not.
  • Work with counsel, TPAs, and insurance companies to develop a claims strategy and action plans.
  • Collaborate closely with TPA partners to promote cost conservation, simplicity, and efficiency while fostering continual improvement.
  • Collaborate with and oversee outside vendors and partners on creative claims processing and initiatives that promote simplicity, control costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on claims for internal teams and TPA partners.
  • Use subject-matter expertise to delve deeply into claim processes, question the status quo, and create significant solutions.
  • Work together with internal and external teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Assist internal audits to verify quality and compliance with client service guidelines and performance standards.
  • Create and/or revise standard operating procedures in collaboration with vendors to ensure they support program objectives.
  • Make data-driven judgments for process evaluations and recommendations by utilizing and developing metrics.
  • Collaborate with other teams to share ideas, drive change, and complete projects.

Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or BA from a recognized university
  • A minimum of five years’ experience managing both disputed and uncontested bodily injury cases

FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with fleet or commercial vehicle claims.
  • Strong practical understanding of commercial auto insurance contracts.
  • Asserts to have leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with auditing within a claim organization.
  • CPCU, AIC, or another equivalent designation.
  • Up to 25% of domestic travel is available.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the capacity to convey ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
  • The capacity and desire to take the initiative.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to adjust to shifting processes and priorities.
  • Worked well both independently and as a team, was at ease expressing their thoughts, and respected others’ viewpoints.
  • A desire to grow and learn.
