Position Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager, IT – Capacity Expansions to improve the IT delivery of capacity expansions in highly regulated environments such as HIPPA, GMP, GDPR, NERC, or similar. As the Senior Manager, you will lead technical teams as part of high-profile site building programs within the PSG IT CEM&A team. You will work closely with internal IT & functional business groups to ensure success in infrastructure, employee experience, architecture, etc.

Responsibilities

– Manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
– Strong business unit consulting skills
– Ensure the meeting of technical needs for M&As and Divestitures and successful delivery of integration activities in the infrastructure, employee experience, architecture, etc.
– Drive efficiency and effectiveness of PSG projects in support of business goals and objectives.
– Leverage continuous improvement tools to improve system integration processes.
– Balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions.
– Create and maintain management level and detailed project plans.
– Influence colleagues at all levels toward a strategic goal.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree preferred.
– 10+ years of experience in IT delivery for regulated businesses.
– Proven experience managing a staff preferred.
– Experience providing leadership in a matrixed environment preferred.
– Ability to run large complex programs
– PMP or similar certification.
– Ability to travel to and navigate manufacturing facilities.
– Up to 30% travel.
– Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and excellent documentation skills.
