It’s a thrilling moment to be a member of Delta’s reservations team as we reimagine how and where we serve customers and establish new benchmarks for the experiences we create for both them and the thousands of reservations and care staff members. By the creation of new, inventive, and engaging learning opportunities for employees at every level of the division, from new hire training to leadership support programs and everywhere in between, we are currently undergoing a learning transformation. As a Senior Learning Designer, you will collaborate across divisions on large-scale strategic projects to find novel learning subjects, content deliverables, and delivery suggestions that will best enable staff members to perform to their potential. You will serve as a senior member of the team, providing thought leadership in learning design and consultation to others on the choice, development, and uses of methodologies and techniques for data collection and analysis. You will also coach, mentor, and develop other team members through various projects.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Learning Designer performs a variety of tasks with little direction, including but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with all divisional stakeholders to determine the most suitable and pertinent learning interventions to close performance gaps;
  • Design engaging learning and training solutions, such as courses, games, films, simulations, quizzes, etc., delivered via mobile, digital, or other wide-reaching vehicles, utilizing appropriate instructional techniques based on adult learning principles, level, and complexity of learning objectives;
  • Based on evaluation and performance data, summarize, examine, and suggest adjustments or discontinuance of learning initiatives;
  • Create fruitful connections and work well with team members and subject matter experts to check course requirements and fill in any gaps;
  • Organize and monitor SME participation in lesson planning, development, and evaluation. undertaking material quality control reviews, among other things;
  • Use technologies to identify performance support tactics that have an impact on both individual and group learning and performance productivity. Analyze training results in light of KPIs;
  • Dispense advice on the efficiency of integrating technology for performance improvement and support;
  • To improve the learning intervention, conduct research, evaluate them, and make recommendations for delivery methods, themes, strategies, and tools;
  • Help with standardizing design procedures, models, guidelines, and blueprints;
  • Effectively manage projects’ priorities and progress toward desired milestones;
  • Cooperate with graphic designers and video producers to generate a powerful educational experience;
  • Consider safety when performing all operational tasks and procedures.

Requirements:

IMPORTANT ITEMS FOR SUCCESS (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Applicants should have at least a Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or 5-7 years of relevant work experience to be considered for this post.
  • Having experience planning and developing in a variety of contexts, such as live, virtual, and blended instructor-led, Multimedia resources, on-the-job activity development, and interactive, media-rich elearning Expertise with eLearning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud’s InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop at an advanced level
  • The ability to complete a project from the first request to implementation. The ability to pick up new goods and technologies fast.
  • Strong editing abilities as well as outstanding writing and design abilities
  • Possibility of thriving in a project-driven, hurried environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Some travel is necessary (20%)

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO GET AN EDGE IN THE MARKET (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Experience with performance consulting is strongly preferred.
  • Agile project management Expertise managing vendor relationships and dealing with vendors Experience using Smartsheet to create assets, reports, and dashboards
  • Experience with usability principles that has been shown
  • Editing audio and narration expertise making videos and podcasts
