Responsibilities:
- Run quick POCs to test ideas and construct rails for the engineering team.
- Assistance with quick development and deployment for engineers and project managers
- Actively participate in team and company-wide conversations about architecture and engineering.
- Add solutions and corporate architectural paradigms to the portfolio.
- Organize design reviews, lead high-level and detailed designs
- Work with leaders from different departments to grasp corporate concepts, objectives, and strategy as they pertain to your area of responsibility.
- Inform senior leaders of changes and the direction of the strategy.
- Mentor engineers to guarantee that technological difficulties are thoroughly grasped in order to deliver solutions quickly and to a high standard.
Requirements:
- 8 years or more of significant hands-on Java expertise, as well as knowledge of backend or middleware processing.
- Extensive knowledge of designing and implementing highly reliable, resilient, and available large-scale platforms.
- Strong background in high performance and throughput applications.
- Experience with event driven architectures, service mesh technologies, and micro services is preferred.
- Understanding of concepts related to observability, such as tracing, metrics, monitoring, and logging
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation abilities, leadership, and analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A demonstrated capacity for collaboration and the power to influence without formal authority
- It is desirable if you have practical expertise in the following settings: Jenkins, docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Drools, Elastic Stack, Kafka, CouchBase, Cassandra, Postgres, Oracle, Redis, Kotlin, gRPC, ProtoBuf, JSON
- Computer science, computer science engineering, or a related subject bachelor’s degree is necessary; advanced degree recommended.
Salary: from $110,000 and $190,000 per year, plus bonuses and benefits
