Responsibilities:

You will be at the forefront, utilizing both new and old technologies to hasten the transition of IT in order to serve the company. The performance, availability, and scalability of the public cloud environment fall under the purview of the senior cloud engineer, a practical position. In order to enable enterprise applications to fulfill (or exceed) the organizational business goals, you will work with other architects and engineers. To facilitate (and speed up) CVS’s move to the cloud, the Cloud Engineer – Senior is also responsible in identifying the developing technologies for cloud native workload.

This chance may be found in Richardson, Texas, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Scottsdale, Arizona, or Hartford, Connecticut.

Pay Scale

The usual pay scale for this position is as follows: Minimum: 95,000 Up to 209,000

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of related experience is a requirement.
  • 5+ Years: Develop and deploy in GCP utilizing industry best practices
  • 5+ Years: Switch over to GCP’s on-premises infrastructure
  • 5+ Years: Set up GCP monitoring and alerts for the availability of cloud resources
  • Three or more years of experience working in a setting with various GCP PaaS & SaaS services (Compute, Application, Kubernetes etc)
  • Three or more years of direct experience using GCP Infrastructure services (VPC, VPC Service Controls, Shared Networking, Firewalls etc ) deployment
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing bespoke roles while working closely with IAM
  • 3+ years of expertise in scripting and automation (Terraform, GCloud, Resource Manager, Python)
  • 2+ years of GKE design, deployment, and management experience
  • Experience in deploying and managing Compute Instances, BigQuery, and GCS for three years or more
  • High level of Active Directory expertise
  • Extensive expertise in IT security
  • Extensive expertise in SaaS and PaaS application performance
  • Recognize diagrams of enterprise-level application architecture
  • Have a propensity for resolving complex technological concerns.

  • Participate closely in day-to-day duties, project planning, and implementation with the teams of application development and data engineers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using conversational and written communication skills
  • A experienced negotiator with a track record of utilizing a persuasive communication style to get to mutually satisfactory agreements

Recommended Requirements

  • Expertise navigating cloud best practices and architectural conversations in large organizations with experience working with regulated PII/HIPAA data
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud services and solutions available on platforms like GCP expertise in planning and carrying out migrations from on-premises to GCP
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting languages practical knowledge of GCP networking, IAM, data protection, encryption, and site reliability solutions (specific examples of each will be requested)
  • Solid practical experience with Linux and Windows server operating systems (on-premises & IaaS)
  • Expertise automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration and delivery with GCP certification
  • Knowledge of DevOps techniques

Education

Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, or a similar field. The equivalent employment history will be taken into account.
