Responsibilities:

• Conducts mechancis training in area(s) of expertise
• Engineers are mentored by him.
• In the course of problem resolution, acts as a coordinator.
• As needed, coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory authorities to ensure that Engineering dispositions are adequately substantiated in line with applicable rules and Company instructions.
• Customized procedures and unique criteria are developed for repairs, alterations, inspections, servicing, and other maintenance tasks that are not sufficiently addressed in existing manuals.
• Keeps up to date on daily airline activities concerning in-flight entertainment and WIFI connectivity. Examines daily priorities in light of airline/departmental goals and management instructions
• Investigates aircraft/component problems that may result in aircraft delays or cancellations, significant labor or material costs, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and decides necessary corrective steps.
• As needed, provides engineering help for the resolution of anomalous situations affecting aircraft or components in order to restore serviceability.
• Responds to requests for technical assistance from Maintenance and other airline departments when it is needed to support initiatives or address difficulties.
• Prepares engineering papers to put technical dispositions into action by offering tailored procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance operations that generate advantages in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directions.
• Maintains knowledge of existing and pending regulations affecting areas of responsibility, and ensures that all Engineering actions comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Uses available resources to continuously improve technical expertise and practical experience. Also works to develop communication skills, time management, and other personal attributes necessary for optimal effectiveness and efficiency in carrying out given duties.
• Actively interacts with both front-line team members and leadership.

Requirements:

Education and prior job experience are required as minimum qualifications.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 6 years of related engineering experience

Education and prior job experience are preferred qualifications.

• Engineering Master’s Degree

Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications

• A&P certification is preferred.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Aptitude for analyzing technical data and making data-driven judgments
• Shows aptitude, competence, and desire to assume new positions and responsibilities.
• Capability to prepare and deliver presentations that compel solution acceptance
• Capability to interact successfully with internal and external customers
