Position Description:

  • This position is a part of the Integrated Operations Division’s Engineering Team.
  • Engineer support for the operation and repair of aircraft and associated equipment is their responsibility. Additionally, within the scope of responsibilities, this role creates and aids in maintaining standards for components and aircraft.

  • teaches Engineers in their area(s) of expertise
  • provides guidance to other engineers
  • serves as a team leader or coordinator when managing a project or solving a problem.
  • guarantees that Engineering dispositions are correctly substantiated in compliance with applicable laws and company manuals, and coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Creates specialized guidelines and procedures for maintenance tasks that are not properly covered by current manuals, such as repairs, modifications, inspections, service, and other maintenance actions.
  • keeps up with all aspects of daily airline operations that pertain to their area of duty. evaluates each day’s priorities in light of airline/departmental goals and management directives
  • investigates aircraft/component issues that could result in delays or cancellations of flights, significant outlays of labor or materials, or interruptions of maintenance operations, and decides on the necessary corrective measures.
  • In order to resolve erroneous circumstances affecting aircraft or components and return them to a serviceable state, engineering support is provided as needed.
  • responds to requests for technical support from Maintenance and other airline departments when necessary to support initiatives or address issues
  • creates action plans for engineering tasks involving a fleet, multiple fleets, or components, and pursues resolutions in accordance with prioritized assessments.
  • Where necessary, coordinates with other airline departments to ensure that engineering dispositions are implemented effectively and efficiently.
  • Creating specialized repair, modification, inspection, or other maintenance processes that are beneficial in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management instructions to apply technical dispositions
  • maintains awareness of ongoing and upcoming regulations that have an impact on the areas of responsibility, and makes sure that all engineering efforts continue to be in conformity with those rules.
  • uses resources readily accessible to continuously raise technical proficiency and practical experience levels. Also works to enhance communication abilities, time management, and other personal traits necessary for accomplishing tasks with the utmost efficacy and efficiency.
  • actively interacts with both leadership and front-line team members

Everything you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent license in engineering
  • 6 years of related engineering experience or 10 years of experience without a degree
  • Engineering Master’s Degree
  • License A&P
  • having familiarity with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • the capacity to evaluate technical data and make judgments based on that data
  • shows aptitude, capability, and a readiness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • the capacity to create and deliver presentations that force listeners to accept ideas
  • ability to communicate with internal and external customers successfully
