Position Description

AppFolio, a technology-based company, is seeking a Senior Dispute Risk Analyst to work remotely in the United States. The Senior Dispute Risk Analyst will assist the Payment Risk Operations Team in ensuring the security and success of real estate-related transactions. The position requires creativity, a customer-first focus, analytical skills, and self-motivation. Reporting, investigations, procedures, policy development, and industry knowledge are among the tasks the ideal candidate will perform. Responsibilities

-Develop and present solutions to reduce and manage risk in existing verticals as well as potential markets.
-Enhance and automate existing Risk Team dispute processes for ACH Returns and Chargebacks, including Reporting, Investigations, and Gap Analysis.
-Stay current with industry guidelines and effectively communicate key information to the team and department stakeholders.
-Be the main point of contact for internal teams and external payments partners.
-Effectively use SQL, Tableau, and advanced technical skills to make data-driven decisions, solve problems, and maintain procedural compliance.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
-5+ years of experience in fraud, payments, and risk industries.
-Expertise in Credit Card and ACH payment dispute resolution.
-Excellent knowledge of SQL, Google Sheets, and Excel.
-Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Highly self-motivated and directed.
-Working knowledge of Salesforce, Automation tool experience such as Python, R, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering (CAMS) certification, and experience with Anti-Money Laundering/Bank Secrecy Act (AML/BSA) are preferred.
