Position Description

Robert Half International is seeking a Senior Accountant. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days working remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. The Senior Accountant should have excellent analytical skills and be able to work independently while handling multiple projects within strict deadlines. This full-time position includes solid compensation, good benefits, and the possibility to grow.

Responsibilities

– Manage monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for senior management
– Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
– Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
– Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
– Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls and provide support on special requests
– Analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
– Participate in various departmental initiatives
– Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with GAAP
– Administer Adhoc projects as necessary

Qualifications

– Detail-oriented and able to work independently
– Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
– Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment preferred
– Knowledge of US GAAP
– Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials preferred
– 3-10 years of GL accounting experience, including experience with publicly traded organizations
– Strong time management skills preferred
– Previous experience in public accounting valued
– Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
– Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
– Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation
– Strong familiarity with accruals
– Knowledge of month-end closings
– SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
– Knowledge of ERP systems
– Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
