We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Representative who will work with institutions of higher education. You have sales experience in Education and a great reputation for going above and beyond your sales goals while keeping the customer in mind. You are a self-starter who is ready to make a territory coverage plan and carry it out, as well as consistently meet quarterly sales goals. You have a background in both sales and technology, which means you can lead a conversation with CXOs, software developers, and IT architects.

You are a very strong and creative thinker who works well in a group and enjoys all parts of selling. You like to work in a fast-paced, changing place.

Responsibilities:

  • The main focus of this job will be on customers in Texas.
  • Drive sales and market share in a specific area and industry.
  • Meet or beat quarterly sales goals
  • Create a detailed account/territory plan and stick to it.
  • Make and explain strong value propositions for AWS services.
  • Accelerate customer adoption
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Work with partners to reach more people and increase adoption.
  • Handle negotiations for contracts
  • Build long-term, strategic relationships with your most important customers.
  • Make sure customers are happy.

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

7 years of experience selling software solutions to the public sector in the areas of Higher Education, Academic Medical Centers, or Life Sciences through enterprise technology sales or business development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or experience selling to Enterprise Education accounts is required.
  • Strong skills in writing and talking to people
  • A good network of clients
  • Strong leadership skills
  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS, as well as an MBA in a relevant field.
  • Meets or exceeds Amazon’s requirements for this role based on their leadership principles.
  • Meets or beats Amazon’s depth and complexity in terms of functionality and technology
