Responsibilities:
Supporting the Flight Safety Accident/Incident Investigation Team, Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA), and Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) is one of the duties of the Co-Op Flight Safety Investigations. These programs’ data collection helps Delta’s Safety Management strategy (SMS), which is a key component of the airline’s proactive accident and incident prevention strategy to monitor, identify trends in, and address aviation hazards. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering factual data, including damage data, injury data, meteorological conditions, crew background, human performance data, flight recorder data, and other pertinent investigative data. This position will expose them to the entire investigative process.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- Candidates must be enrolled in a program leading to a degree.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Have a valid passport and be prepared to travel as needed.
- A minimum of three (3) work semesters (Spring 2024, Fall 2024, and Summer 2025) must be available to applicants.
- Consistently puts the security and safety of oneself, others, and personal information first.
- Embraces varied people, ideas, and ways of doing things.
- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
- Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE
- The degree should have an aviation concentration.
- Flight knowledge.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Project, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
