Responsibilities:
- For students with IEPs, offer direct and indirect psychological services.
- Evaluate pupils’ academic, cognitive, social-emotional, and/or behavioral functioning through thorough psycho-educational assessments.
- Set social-emotional-behavioral goals for your students’ IEPs and track their progress.
- Participate vitally in student-led multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
In order to succeed in this position, you’ll need:
- A school psychology EdS degree (or equivalent) from a NASP-approved program
- Although not necessary, a current state licensure or certificate as a school psychologist from the NCSP is preferable.
- A minimum of one year (not including practicum and internship years) of full-time experience working as an on-site school psychologist
- While not necessary, prior experience working as a remote school psychologist is recommended.
- Proficiency in every NASP practice area; familiarity with delivering direct psychological services (such as counseling and intervention) within an MTSS service delivery framework
- Expertise advising families and educators
- Proficiency in conducting thorough psycho-educational assessments of students’ academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral aspects
- Outstanding communication abilities, particularly the capacity to interact with kids of various ages and from various social and cultural backgrounds
- Tech-savvy and have experience using virtual meeting platforms to offer telehealth services
- A quiet area equipped with a dependable computer, webcam, and safe internet access
- Availability on regular school days and hours (8:00 am–4:00 pm) (Monday-Friday) – A weekly minimum availability of fifteen hours
