Position Description:

The Salesforce Development Manager is in charge of leading a team of entry-level to seasoned professionals who are focused on ensuring that all components of Salesforce development fulfill business quality and policy criteria. This person is responsible for developing an integrated perspective of the enterprise through the use of a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and industry standard procedures, as well as understanding how the platform stack is integrated and how processes inside it interact with one another.

Important Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Creates goals and objectives for team members to accomplish operational outcomes.
  • supervises colleagues at the support and/or professional levels
  • Ensures that direct reports, customers, and stakeholders understand and follow rules, practices, and procedures.
  • Leads and prioritizes the team’s daily tasks.
  • Manages, mentors, and coaches others in order to build a collaborative and dynamic team.
  • Handles cross-functional communication to ensure alignment on projects and strategies that will increase efficiency.
  • Creates business solutions leveraging the business applications technology ecosystem, with a focus on Salesforce and other systems in mind (Marketo, Gainsight, Zuora, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Leads the Salesforce team in ensuring that all APEX code is clean and adheres to Salesforce best practices. Lightning conditions
  • Leads the collecting of technical requirements as well as the design of complex projects and enhancements.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to translate functional needs and business goals into scalable, efficient, and maintainable technology solutions.
  • Continuously evaluates existing systems to find areas for improvement, including the need to incorporate net new systems.
  • Offers recommendations for aligning the stack with industry standards, best practices, and norms while avoiding excessive customization.
  • Oversees the development process to ensure that platform additions and adjustments match with the overall company strategy and the demands of various functional units.
  • Preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews, test readiness reviews, application functional testing/application system integration testing, system readiness reviews, in-process reviews, and other engineering events are all supported.
  • Engineers, developers, and other members of the Business Applications team receive extensive technical specifications and guidance. Guidance and troubleshooting support is provided for difficult production incidents.
