The Commercial Services division of Hilton consists of over 4,000 team members responsible for sales, revenue management, customer service, and analytics. These functions constitute the heart of Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are essential to the company’s ability to generate profitable growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The East Coast Luxury Sales Manager is responsible for positively influencing the accounts and production of Luxury Leisure Sales and Wholesale in the East Coast Market.
- Advise on the identification, sales efforts, and relationships with the top leisure travel producers in the designated territory, including travel management accounts, retail travel agents, consortiums, and wholesalers.
- Existing connections and experience with Virtuoso, Signature Travel, American Express, Inspirato, Kiwi Collection, and Internova, among others.
- Assist in integrating the efforts of individual properties into the overall performance of the Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Conrad Tulum.
- Effectively engage and build positive relationships with leading luxury agencies from a remote East Coast location.
- Provide guidance on the efforts to collect and coordinate pertinent competitive information.
- Assist with sales missions, tradeshows, and FAM, focusing on the company’s growth and reputation.
- Establish ongoing target lists using Agency 360 and local trends that are unique to Luxury Consortia.
- Attaining the budgeted annual room night and revenue target for Luxury Leisure and Wholesale travel sales.
- Contact prospective accounts for business travel as identified by the direct sales program.
- Coordinate special promotional events for key leisure and WS travel customers, as well as their clients, i.e., trade shows. FAMs, Resort-hosted receptions, customer appreciation parties, etc.
- Represent the property at relevant tradeshows, conferences, and meetings within the travel industry.
- Monitor marketing efforts aimed at leisure travelers, providing updates on hotel-sponsored events and programs.
- Examine the production and travel patterns of the account to identify the appropriate market segment for negotiation.
- Engage the hotel’s revenue management and reservations team, as well as the Operations department, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Ensure that all hotel and office personnel are aware of and adhere to travel industry policies and wholesalers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to maintain focus while working from home
- Capacity to set and achieve objectives – work towards budgeted annual objectives
- Capacity to identify and cultivate accounts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Five (5) years of experience in the field
- Three (3) years of experience in sales within a luxury hotel or resort
- Ability to travel 30% of each quarter to hotel properties, in addition to sales calls and tradeshows.
- Includes but is not limited to accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
- It would be advantageous if you could demonstrate the following skills and distinctions in this position:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
- Written and oral Spanish proficiency
