Position Description

Higher Logic is a global organization that specializes in providing communication tools and online communities to establishments aiming to retain, develop, and enlarge their customer set. The company seeks a Meeting Planner to work with Higher Education User Group (HEUG) clients in coordinating regional conferences and annual meetings. The candidate must be able to operate strategically and have the capability to execute tasks by prioritizing as the events are rated virtual, hybrid, and in-person. The candidate will have the freedom to design events around the world and the possibility of working in an exciting and stimulating environment where everything moves quickly.

Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing, and executing HEUG regional conferences and three at least HEUG meetings with at least 300 attendees.
• Collaborating with internal teams to guarantee smooth execution of events.
• Coordinating event registration and supervising attendee communications.
• Working hand in hand with higher-ups while striving to comprehend the “why” behind one’s actions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving event-related technicalities promptly and efficiently.
• Tracking and analyzing event metrics and providing a solution.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field: Event Management, or Hospitality Management, among others
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant event planning experience concerning international and domestic meetings.
• Knowledge of event planning theories, logics, and best practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skillsto interact with both internal and external stakeholders
• A team player with a strong ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized and excellent time management skills to coordinate the activities of multiple events.
• A customer-centric mindset for delivering quality service.
• A high level of Professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work amicably in a fast-paced environment.
• Technology Proficiency: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with an ability to adapt to new software and technology platforms quickly.
• A passion for creating memorable event experiences for attendees.
• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation preferred.
