Position Description:

We are seeking a Strategic Communications and Public Relations Specialist for a hybrid role in our client’s Global Services Office located in downtown Los Angeles. This position is pivotal in supporting and developing strategic communications, media relations, and publicity campaigns to enhance the reputation and visibility of the Litigation & Trial Department and its partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage media relations for the Litigation & Trial Department.
  • Act as a publicist, fostering relationships with key media reporters and linking them to firm partners.
  • Oversee strategic writing projects, including drafting press releases, case advisories, award entries, website content, and coordinating survey submissions.
  • Secure placement for byline articles and enhance press commentary opportunities.
  • Utilize the firm’s social media programs to promote the practice and partners.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to support the firm’s sponsorship and partnership marketing initiatives.
  • Implement public relations and marketing communications initiatives to leverage sponsorships and content-marketing partnerships.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in public relations and marketing principles, including digital marketing, branding, market research, and competitive intelligence.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of effective management and interaction at all organizational levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in public relations or marketing/communications, preferably in an agency or professional services firm.
  • Deep understanding of practices and industries relevant to the role.
  • Proven track record in marketing communications, digital communications, and media relations.
  • Experience with social media as a public relations/marketing/communications tool.
