Support Project Managers on significant capital capacity, innovation, and cost control projects in addition to strategic initiatives to offer engineering support to PBNA Supply Chain. At PBNA production locations, the person filling this role will support capital project management and/or project oversight for CAPEX approvals. Colleagues in the fields of operations, maintenance, package and product development, procurement, engineering, and outside suppliers are closely collaborated with in this role. Driving standardization and acting as a technical liaison to plants are the responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Shown expertise in capital project management and the capacity to oversee several projects concurrently in various locations.
  • Ability to successfully negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Proven leadership in troubleshooting and problem solving within the can manufacturing environment, along with proficiency in can filling, can seaming technologies, can packaging (into a carton, wrap, etc.), and can twist operations; OR, proficiency in preform operations, blow molding, and labeling technology, along with troubleshooting and problem solving within the manufacturing environment.

  • Make sure that projects follow the company’s rules and procedures regarding quality, safety, and approved building and equipment installation techniques.
  • Work together with the plant manager, plant engineer, and maintenance supervisor to make sure the project ends with a seamless transition.
  • creates measurements and standards that offer best practices for new installations, line upgrades, and/or adjustments while taking material flow into account.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, reporting/tracking software, and computer maintenance management systems are examples of computer abilities.
  • SAP knowledge is favored.
  • Experience with BIM and Autodesk (CAD & Navisworks) is desirable.
  • Experience with AGVs and LGVs is ideal.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, or electrical engineering; preferably with PET and CAN; a minimum of five to seven years of engineering experience in a high-speed beverage manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of the operations of plant maintenance.
  • Strong familiarity with product processing, blending/carbonation procedures, and process utilities
  • Experience with CAPEX expenditures for individual projects should be at least $6–10 million, and with teams, it should be over $20 million.
  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing several CAPEX expenses
  • Ability to travel: Approximately 50% of an individual’s time will be spent traveling.
