Job Description

Job Type: Program Manager from home
Location: California work from home
Company: Google

Position Description:

A problem is not completely solved until it is resolved once and for all. That is why Google employees create products that help create possibilities for everyone, whether they live down the block or around the world. As a Google Technical Program Manager, you will use your technical knowledge to lead large, multi-disciplinary projects from start to end. You will collaborate with stakeholders to design needs, identify risks, manage project schedules, and properly communicate with cross-functional partners across the firm. You’re equally at ease articulating your team’s analysis and suggestions to executives as you are with engineers discussing technical considerations in product development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject or comparable practical experience is required.
  • 5 years of program management experience.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle, the product life cycle, and QA testing.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cloud deployments and cloud providers.
  • Knowledge of system level design.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize program goals, understand and interpret the demands of other stakeholders into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimum help, and participate to choices on goal and deliverable prioritization.
  • Define project scope and create, execute, and/or manage project plans for supported program(s).
  • Identify, communicate with, and cooperate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to have an effect and achieve shared goals. Create, update, and improve business, operational, and management dashboards.
  • Run Google-scale programs, focusing on Software Services/Server development, wrangling a wide set of stakeholders, and understanding the tipping point between too little and too much procedure.
  • To drive project prioritization, develop and manage project schedules, identify risks, and effectively communicate goals, you must first understand product needs and technological considerations.
