Position Description

Coalition, a leading cybersecurity and insurance company, is seeking a Remote Production Underwriter for their Midwest US operations. This individual will be responsible for driving profitable business growth within an assigned group of brokers by underwriting a variety of products, including technology E&O and Cyber solutions. The successful candidate will have a customer-centric approach to their work, educating both brokers and clients on protecting their businesses. The role involves developing key relationships to achieve production and profit targets, identifying new customers, and staying abreast of the local cyber insurance marketplace. The ideal candidate will have strong underwriting and sales competencies and a successful track record.

Responsibilities

– Work closely with sales and product staff to assess cyber products and capabilities
– Develop and maintain strategic relationships with brokers to achieve production and profit targets
– Assess and analyze territory and pipeline to identify potential customers
– Demonstrate expertise in Technology E&O/Cyber underwriting and policies
– Develop recommendations for profitable market share growth across the assigned geography
– 10-25% travel based on territory, including quarterly on-site customer visits
– Remain up-to-date on marketplace trends and corporate vision
– Master Coalition’s technical issues, including compliance, coverage, products, and pricing strategies

Qualifications

– A track record of successful underwriting and sales competencies
– 3+ years of multi-line underwriting experience in Cyber and Technology E&O
– Strong communication and marketing skills with an ability to manage tight deadlines and high volumes
– Proficient in risk analysis, particularly in Cyber Insurance
– Knowledge of policy issuance and processing center workflows
– Ability to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals
– Relationship-building, negotiation, influencing skills, and creative problem-solving
– Bachelor’s degree preferred, professional designations such as CIC and CIPP are a plus
