Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement standard operating procedures and customer feedback mechanisms. • Proactively detect and resolve issues through the use of monitoring systems and alerts. • Develop metrics and tools to push alerts, monitor system performance, and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Proactively look for ways to meet the needs of customers and make recommendations based on their input.
  • Create and put into place problem-solving processes, such as pathways for raising technical and operational concerns.
  • Take the lead in ideation for preventative measures, root cause investigation, and problem management.
  • Ensure that support needs are met while developing new products.
  • Create documentation and train up new engineers.
  • Write SQL and command-line scripts that support teams can use.
  • Establish productive working relationships with partners in operations and maintenance.
  • Give development and support teams requirements and “voice of the customer” comments.
  • 75% of travel is anticipated.

Requirements:

PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS

  • Four or more years of experience developing software or providing technical support
  • Proficiency in scripting contemporary programming languages
  • Technical system troubleshooting and debugging experience
  • Expertise in debugging and recording results
  • Prior development or technical support experience
  • Proficiency with contemporary programming languages for scripting
  • Familiarity with the Linux/UNIX operating system
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar discipline
  • Proficiency in relational database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.) and/or relevant job experience
  • Demonstrated capacity to pinpoint the source of problems, promote changes, and put preventative measures in place
  • Proven capacity for cross-stakeholder effective communication.
  • Proficiency in networking and product IT, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to oversee several important things at once
  • Capacity to prioritize many competing activities and work autonomously
  • A 75% forecasted amount of travel

DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS

  • More than five years of expertise in technical support
  • Familiarity with enterprise and distributed apps
  • A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar discipline
  • Product and service knowledge of AWS (e.g., DynamoDB, CloudWatch, S3)
  • Strong oral and writing communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively share findings with stakeholders who are both technical and non-technical
  • Exhibited expertise in one or more of the supplementary fields listed below: Programming Languages (Java, C++, Python) or Internet Protocols and DNS (TCP/IP)
