Responsibilities:

The Fuel team at Delta is in charge of reducing fuel costs by increasing refinery profitability. As a member of the Delta Fuel Team, this position is in charge of planning and coordinating the movement of all refined products for the Monroe refinery. In order to appropriately optimize all downstream units while guaranteeing optimal pipeline and barge schedules for the gasoline and distillate products, you will collaborate closely with the Optimization team and Monroe refinery staff. Additionally, you will collaborate with the various divisions of the Supply and Trading team to comprehend how our business decisions will affect the market and logistics.

  • In order to assure on-time sales and delivery of refined products across pipelines, barge docks, and tank management, coordinate and schedule with internal and external schedulers/traders.
  • Learn everything there is to know about our supply chain, the refinery’s operations, and any potential bottlenecks.
  • Create and maintain scheduling connections in the areas where Monroe operates.
  • Create and offer management with supply optimization opportunities.
  • Maintain close communication with Monroe staff regarding inventory levels and restrictions.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)

  • 4+ years of expertise in finance, supply logistics, energy management, contract negotiations, or another highly analytical field
  • Due to deadlines, job requirements, interactions, and involvement with the Monroe organization, this position requires travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Shows that protecting privacy is a top consideration while working with personal data.

  • Consistently puts one’s own and others’ safety and security first.
  • If you are not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc., you must have obtained or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire in order to be considered for a position based in the United States.
  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
  • Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.

WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as business, finance, engineering, or supply chain, is preferable.
  • Be able to establish and manage business partnerships while displaying good communication abilities.
  • The capacity to work in a trading desk setting when one is exposed to changing objectives, short deadlines, and demands that one manage numerous tasks at once
  • Very skilled in efficient conflict resolution and communication
  • High degree of initiative in managing your workload, identifying important business limitations, and interacting with the traders and optimization team
  • Effective use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
