In addition to promoting cooperation throughout the larger Amazon ecosystem, your job as a Principal Solutions Architect at Amazon Business will be crucial in advancing complex technological integrations for our important partners and customers. Leading integrations from technical discovery and scoping to execution and post-production support are your duties. To strategically manage new product integrations and releases, this role involves tight interaction with internal teams, including Business Development, Professional Services, Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Your work will also involve interacting with various Amazonian teams and initiatives, in addition to creating and implementing improvements to operational processes and overseeing ongoing integrations. The utilization of insights, skills, and innovations from across the organization to provide comprehensive solutions that tackle the intricate business challenges of Amazon Business’s major clients and partners will be made possible by this pan-Amazonian collaboration.

You will strike a balance between functional and technological needs as a savvy negotiator and powerful leader, creating and executing complex technical integration solutions. In addition to establishing the benchmark for excellence in Amazon Business’s service offerings, your vision and leadership will support the company’s overall strategic goals by promoting coordination and synergy amongst various departments and projects.

Responsibilities:

• To optimize complex Procure to Pay (P2P) processes, architect and execute innovative cloud solutions using state-of-the-art technologies and integration protocols such as REST API, EDI, cXML, XML, xCBL, OAG XML, and EDIFACT.
• Lead the worldwide Solutions Architecture team with vision while creating custom integration solutions for a wide range of industries and enterprises, including elite corporate clients.
• Drive the creation, adoption, and improvement of Amazon Business services and products strategically to make sure they are in line with changing consumer demands and market trends.
• Serve as a C-level executive’s primary technical advisor and strategic partner, guiding them through challenging solution landscapes and shaping long-term technology strategy.
• Recognize and manage risks in high-stakes solution designs by striking a balance between trade-offs to accomplish strategic goals and preserve maintainability, flexibility, and scalability.
• Drive innovation through the creation of best practices, whitepapers, and public speaking engagements. Take the lead in thought leadership within the e-procurement and B2B commerce sectors.
• Fill in any gaps in Amazon Business’s product line by planning forward, predicting and influencing future consumer and market demands, and directing product development.
• Participate in high-level strategic planning and decision-making to steer the organization’s technological development and find growth prospects.

Requirements:

PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS

• More than 12 years of solutions architecture expertise, preferably in a B2B e-commerce or e-procurement setting, with a track record of accomplishment in senior roles.
• More than 12 years of experience leading teams of driven technologists in a technical senior management capacity.
• A wealth of expertise in managing intricate, expansive projects and endeavors inside corporate settings.
• Previous expertise in handling conflicts with executive-level stakeholders, customers, internal facing teams, and technical and non-technical audiences.
• An comparable combination of professional experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar technical subject.
