Working with our customers to guarantee their success with Confluent’s products, you will oversee a group of professional services consultants as a Senior Practice Manager at Confluent. As the team leader, you will be in charge of fostering team growth and development, revenue growth, client satisfaction, and adoption and consumption. Engaging with customers at every stage of the process—from pre-sales to delivery—will help you align business objectives, define success criteria, and ensure customer success.

All things considered, the ideal applicant for this position should have a proven track record of providing enterprise clients with high-quality professional services as well as expertise managing and growing a high-performing team. They should also possess strong project management abilities, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of the enterprise architecture, data and systems integration, and data stream processing markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with software sales teams to achieve success with Confluent Professional Services clients over a regional clientele. To meet targets for bookings, revenue, margin, and utilization, take charge of the services sales plan.
  • Interact with client companies’ C- and VP-level executives as well as their architects and program managers. Establish the first services direction, manage client happiness and success, and support account and regional expansion.
  • Make sure the job is completed successfully to win our clients’ affection. Handle conflicts over resources, resolve delivery issues, and control expectations.
  • Create a fantastic team and business. Assist in the development of robust connections, competencies, and expertise among Confluent team members.
  • Take part in the Confluent sales and product strategy for your region’s clients.
  • By cultivating solid executive connections with delivery partners and raising awareness of partner delivery capabilities, you can increase Confluent’s success across your customer base.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading professional services teams that implement SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
  • Experience managing IT delivery projects at the enterprise level (10+ years or comparable capabilities).
  • Experience (2+ years or equivalent capabilities) in selling enterprise IT delivery services.
  • Proven ability to establish and grow remote delivery teams, including performance evaluation, career/growth planning, and resource management.
  • Since the majority of the work is with customers, candidates must have great interpersonal communication skills. They visit client locations to oversee projects that involve collaborating with business leaders, enterprise architects, and engineering and design management staff.
  • Ability (and desire) to visit client locations as needed (about 25% of the time) in order to support current and potential clients’ sales.
