During a six-month contract, Robert Half is helping a client find a network engineer. The organization’s main network infrastructure will be deployed and supported with the aid of a network engineer. Together with the Systems team, you will be accountable for maintaining the current estate and accepting new network designs and infrastructure parts into active support.
- North Hollywood, California (Must be from Los Angeles or Las Vegas)
- 95% of the work is done remotely, with occasional on-site obligations.
- Hours: M-F, 40 hours per week, regular PST hours
- The freedom to work at their own speed
- 6 month contract length
Responsibilities:
The primary duties, which fall under the purview of the Director of IT, include all facets of networking hardware, software, and connectivity installation and troubleshooting as well as maintaining current and implementing new technology systems to support our rapidly expanding fully remote workplace.
The ideal applicant will have these qualities:
Knowledge of developing, deploying, administering, and maintaining enterprise-level network devices and services, such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Recognize the performance, security, and resilience components of solution delivery that are not functional.
Good organizational skills, including the capacity to multitask and prioritize, direct technical tasks, and finish a project within a certain timeframe. - Use rationality when identifying and resolving issues.
- Drive to deliver the best while establishing high standards within the organization Collaborate with and serve as a liaison between the business and technical staff
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable about layer 3 routing techniques (BGP, VRF, VXLAN and OSPF)
- Comprehensive understanding of layer 2 protocols (LACP, MLAG, Spanning Tree)
- Kknowledge of operating firewalls
- Experience configuring CLI on Arista and Cisco-powered devices
