Position Description

Randstad is seeking an experienced Medical Denial Specialist for a temporary full-time position in Dallas and Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you will be required to work from home after the completion of training. However, you must reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and be available to come into the office for additional training, meetings, etc., as needed. The successful candidate will have at least two years of work experience in the medical industry as an entry-level specialist.

Responsibilities

As a Medical Denial Specialist, your duties will include the following:

• Contacting payers via website, phone, and/or correspondence regarding reimbursement of unpaid accounts over thirty (30) days and above, researching and following up on denials, and requests for additional information.
• Interpreting Managed Care contracts, Medicare, and Medicaid rules and regulations to ensure proper reimbursement/collection.
• Making necessary adjustments as per plan reimbursement.
• Performing payment validation by utilizing internal and/or external resources to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Reviewing, researching, and appealing partially denied claims for reconsideration.
• Contacting patients to gain additional information required to resolve an outstanding insurance balance.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must have at least two years of experience in the medical industry as an entry-level specialist.
• Excellent knowledge of ICD-10, medical billing, claims processing, and medical terminology.
• Experience in dealing with medical billing denials, EHR/Epic software, and EMRs.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent analytical skills.
