Responsibilities:
- Preferred partner for account managers and regional directors of sales.
- Primary contact for the marketing teams of wholesalers.
- Recognize the essential business requirements of your wholesale partners and create marketing plans to meet those needs.
- Provide innovative materials that meet partner needs.
- Work together to create turn-key marketing toolkits.
- Establish a hierarchy for in-store communication messaging to give customers clarity and the appropriate message at the correct location.
- Recognize the purchasing patterns of your customers, what motivates them to convert from discovery to purchase, and assist in designing the in-store purchase trip.
- Collaborate closely with the Trade Marketing Manager to conduct research and provide a schedule-based report on the state of retail marketing.
- Collaborating with the visual merchandising team to have a robust presence in wholesale partner stores allows us to distinguish our brand and merchandise in a fiercely competitive market.

- You’ve worked on retail marketing strategy and execution with sales teams and important retail partner accounts in the past.
- You’ve worked in vertical, niche, and big box retail environments. It is preferred to have prior experience with the mattress category.

Requirements:
Necessary Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Over five years of experience working for a consumer-focused lifestyle brand in marketing-related jobs
- ~3+ years of retail marketing expertise, with an emphasis on trade strategy and execution
- Adaptable, growth-oriented mindset
- Attitude of service
- Strong proficiency with computers (Microsoft Office)
Physical prerequisites
- This position requires travel. You will wish to occasionally visit the stores of your partners, and you may travel every three months to as many as five partners spread throughout the Western states. Additionally, Purple’s Utah office may invite you to visit every quarter.
- Occasionally, physical activity may involve:
- Staying still for extended periods of time, usually by standing or sitting.
- Moving or adjusting things weighing up to 15 pounds in every direction.
