Looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to oversee the creation of cross-channel media and audience strategy. To develop and implement a consistent audience segmentation strategy across media investments, we are searching for an individual with a passion for creating excellent customer experiences.

In this position, you will oversee the development and implementation of an audience strategy by working with our data strategy lead and data scientists to develop a data acquisition strategy and audience insights creation, as well as by collaborating with core business leads to identify the business problems we are looking to solve. Driving the audience architecture for your business line will be one of your main duties in order to support channel strategy, creative development, media planning, and campaign activation. In order to achieve measurable results, this will involve audience mapping across internal and external teams. It will also involve creating an annual audience playbook that will inspire integrated marketing plans (IMP) and personas that can be used by creative teams to understand audiences better.

You will also be in charge of developing cross-channel media strategies for the audiences that make up your business line. You will decide how much to invest in different channels depending on your company’s goals, audience metrics, and channel best practices. In order to accomplish our objectives, you will use a data-driven approach to choose the best channel mix for audiences and business strategies, managing both external and internal partners. You will cooperate with data scientists and measurement leaders to develop rigorous analytical methods, build cost-effective campaigns, and establish and implement media best practices while working directly with campaign managers, creative and content teams, and our internal media team.

You must have a strong tendency for action, be extremely collaborative while yet being independently motivated, and be able to complete ambiguous projects in a highly matrixed setting. You will possess strong knowledge in cross-channel media strategy, including TV, CTV/POLV, Digital (OLV & Display), Social, OOH, Radio, etc. You will be a strategic thinker who is focused on business objectives. To help develop and improve audience strategy, procedures, and products as well as analytical processes and innovations for advanced audience analytics, this role demands an entrepreneurial mindset. You’ll be resourceful and inventive in your approach to solving tricky technical and professional problems.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketer with the capacity to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. They should be able to work directly with audience analytics, creative, campaign managers, measurement partners, category leaders, and data science leaders to define the long-term segmentation strategy across media channels and ensure that this strategy is in line with our marketing goals. The candidate will assist in the creation and automation of audience segmentation in this highly visible position, enabling marketing teams to grow personalized marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee cross-channel media planning and strategy, providing leadership with advice on how to make decisions.

• Create an audience segmentation plan that is in line with corporate goals and technological specifications to give customers a customized multi-channel experience.

• Lead the development of audience hypotheses to guide data modeling and analysis in collaboration with business leads and audience scientists

• Be the driving force behind the development of audience insights, market sizing, and audience sizing, which will result in audience creation and segmentation.

• Collaborate with data partners to develop distinctive audiences by combining data from many sources and automating data delivery to various channels.

• Control spending and investment choices across all media platforms connected to your business line.

• Support the operationalization of audience segmentation by advancing privacy rules, addressing cookie depreciation, and fostering data governance and stewardship within deployment teams.

• In conjunction with the planning and activation teams, align audience profiles and segmentation with the right investment strategy.

• Capability to move across a highly matrixed organization while representing the team with honesty and independence

• Collaborate with other Amazon media managers to use teamwide insights and investment decisions to present ideas in the most audience-focused way feasible.

• Add knowledge to investing and portfolio strategies for advertising

Requirements:

Candidate prerequisites

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the media, audience planning, communications, and marketing
  • Extensive expertise in cross-channel media planning and previous experience managing complicated projects for a large advertiser either internally or at an agency
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US media planning and buying processes
  • Expertise with media planning tools used by the industry, such as Nielsen, Kantar, Comscore, DCM, etc.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business analytics, marketing, advertising, economics, computer science, or a related discipline 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in audience and data strategy for media and/or marketing
  • Well-versed with digital data partners and technologies (1st and 3rd party data, data lakes, data clean rooms, identity solutions, CDP, Clean Room, CRM …)
  • Proven ability to think critically and solve problems
