Responsibilities:
- Oversee a group of qualified claim handlers.
- Clearly establish and enforce performance criteria that are based on team and organizational objectives.
- Managing the tactics and plans of action for claims involving physical harm.
- Effectively inform internal leadership teams and cross-functional teams about suggested risk mitigation techniques.
- Respond to and handle concerns and queries from business partners regarding the assessment and settlement of claims.
- Find areas where all business lines and the car claims program as a whole can be improved.
- Take part in initiatives that advance the program, such as those that create fresh, creative solutions.
- Collaborate on creative claims processing and initiatives that enhance cost-containment and simplicity while improving the customer experience with partners and external providers.
- Show up for trials and mediations as necessary.
- Travelable up to 25 percent of the time.
Requirements:
PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS
- A BA/BS degree from a university with accreditation.
- Six or more years of expertise managing liability claims or auto policies.
- Two or more years of program management experience, or equivalent qualifications.
DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS
- An advanced degree, such as an MBA.
- CPCU, AIC, ARM, or other comparable designation.
- Subject matter knowledge of policies for commercial auto insurance.
- Knowledge of programs such as Tableau, QuickSight, and SmartSheet.
- Outstanding oral and written communication with leaders at all levels.
