Responsibilities:
- Have a solid awareness of company policy, local, regional, and federal regulations.
- Offer supervision and direction to guarantee adherence to the relevant Amazon WHS Policies.
. Compare the site’s performance against the published WHS policy requirements. Determine a plan for the location to implement and address each identified deficiency. Encourage adherence to the plan. - Examine incident trends and analyze WHS indicators to support the deployment of suitable resources to regions with the highest WHS risk.
- Conduct regular WHS audits of the site to find any non-compliant machinery or procedures. Put strategies in place to reduce exposure to these risks and stop accidents in other locations. Examine any modifications to make sure new machinery and procedures comply.
- Examine Gensuite entries and recordkeeping procedures to make sure they adhere to international WHS standards and laws.
- Make sure that the procedures for training, auditing, and scoring are precise and consistent by conducting an audit of the workplace structure and Associate behaviors.
- Verify that Associates and site leadership have received the necessary training and are aware of their obligations under each policy. Examine the efficacy, quality, and delivery of all mandated WHS training, taking into account the trainer’s credentials.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends, is a requirement.
Requirements:
BASICS:
- A bachelor’s degree;
- Two years or more of experience working for Amazon (blue badge or full-time equivalent);
- Three years or more of progressively more responsible work in environmental and/or WHS programs in manufacturing, production, or service activities
- Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, with ease interacting with site leaders
- Capability to create and carry out departmental plans and objectives
- Excellent analytical abilities and a track record of addressing problems
DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS
- Experience with EHS at a manufacturing or distribution center with a mix of exempt and non-exempt workers at a location with at least 250 employees
- An advanced degree
- Proficiency in executing lean concepts and process enhancement within a functional setting.
- Proficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Professional in Safety Certification
- Proficient in both written and spoken communication; at ease interacting with site leaders
- Capacity to create and carry out departmental plans and objectives.
- Proven capacity to solve problems and strong analytical skills.
