We are seeking a Marketing Manager to drive business growth within STEM disciplines. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy, encompassing sales enablement, marketing communications, customer engagement, and market research. This role will be pivotal in promoting our products and services, but it does not involve managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel: Occasional travel to campus, meetings, conferences, and events. During campus and customer-focused travel, you will assist the sales team, engage with faculty, and present product information. Company meetings and conferences may also require your attendance.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize marketing and sales analytics for market research, customer segmentation, and tactical performance assessment.
  • Marketing Program: Develop and implement marketing plans for STEM disciplines, analyze campaign activity, and recommend improvements. Collaborate with other departments to expand customer outreach.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with college sales, editorial, product, and digital marketing teams to maximize STEM revenue. Lead training sessions and support sales efforts, develop sales tools, and build relationships with key customers and influencers.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of two years of publishing or related sales/marketing experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to ten weeks per year.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools for marketing tactics.
  • Proficiency in data-management systems and data analysis.
  • Understanding of key product marketing concepts.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Creative and strategic thinking.
  • Collaboration skills across various departments.
  • Analytical problem-solving mindset.
  • Customer-focused.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in higher education or educational technology.
  • Prior STEM field experience.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce CRM.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring results from sales/marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-organize.
