Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the actions of AA staff members involved in aircraft movement
  • Oversees the preparation of daily shift briefings, station tour reports, and station reliability analysis
  • Identifies everyday obstacles that will prevent operational goals from being achieved and successfully communicates operational plans
  • Maintains availability and flexibility to quickly change course in response to operational needs
  • Analyzes trends when monitoring station arrival/departure dependability performance
  • Investigates and fixes any operational issues to guarantee adherence to AA operating guidelines.
  • Correctly applies the AYR and Delay Code Handbook methods.
  • Effectively translates information from the various sources and communicates with all local operating departments, IOC, MOC, AA central headquarters, and outside organizations regarding the AA operational schedule.
  • Works varying or flexible shifts as necessary for operations
  • Various tasks as requested, adjusting to operational requirements
  • To enhance the organization’s future, plan ahead and take advantage of opportunities to mentor and grow the Control Center CSM and coordinator personnel.
  • Make sure that everyone on the team abides by the American Airlines attendance, performance, and workplace regulations.
  • Control and oversee the emergency action plan’s execution

Requirements:

Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, aviation science, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 5+ years of operational leadership experience managing people, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of RES and DECS

Prior work experience and education are preferred qualifications.

  • Experience with an integrated operations center or an airport control center

Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications

  • Having familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • The capacity to manage several ongoing tasks and projects and the adaptability to take charge of them and see them through when necessary
  • Excellent leadership and collaborative abilities, as well as the capacity to operate productively in a range of circumstances
  • Possessing the capacity to be extremely motivated, self-driven, creative, and results-oriented
  • Flexibility in work schedules and the capacity to perform successfully under duress
  • The capacity to work successfully with stakeholders across departments
