Responsibilities:
- Have a solid understanding of corporate policy, local, regional, and federal regulations.
- Offer supervision and direction to guarantee adherence to the relevant Amazon WHS Policies.
. Compare the site’s performance against the published WHS policy requirements. Determine a plan for the location to implement and address each identified deficiency. Encourage adherence to the plan. - Examine incident patterns and analyze WHS indicators to support the deployment of suitable resources to regions with the highest WHS risk.
- Conduct regular WHS audits of the site to find any non-compliant machinery or procedures. Put solutions in place to stop being exposed to these dangers and avoid getting hurt at other places. Examine any modifications to make sure new machinery and procedures comply.
- Examine Gensuite entries and recordkeeping procedures to make sure they adhere to international WHS standards and laws.
- Examine how the workplace is organized and how associates behave to make sure that the procedures for auditing, grading, and training are correct and consistent.
- Assure that Associates and site leadership have received the necessary training and are aware of their obligations under each policy. Examine the efficacy, quality, and delivery of all mandated WHS training, taking into account the trainer’s credentials.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends, is required.
Requirements:
PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree or more than two years of FTE or Blue Badge experience at Amazon
- Three or more years of progressively more responsible work in WHS and/or environmental programs in production, manufacturing, or service operations
- Superb communication abilities, both written and spoken, with ease interacting with site leaders.
- Capacity to create and carry out departmental plans and objectives.
- Excellent analytical abilities and a track record of solving problems.
DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS
- Manufacturing or distribution centers with a mix of exempt and non-exempt workers at a location with at least 250 employees and experience with EHS
- An advanced degree
- Experience putting lean concepts and process optimization into practice in a working setting.
- Work experience in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.
- Professional in Safety Certification
- Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, with ease interacting with site leaders
- Capability to create and carry out departmental plans and objectives.
- Excellent analytical abilities and a track record of solving problems.
